Terms of Use

1. Agreement

By downloading or using the Anchored Vines apps for Android or iOS ("the App"), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App. The App is provided by Anchored Vines Consulting, Washington State, USA.

2. Age

You must be of legal drinking age where you live, and at least 21 in the United States, to use the App.

3. Educational content only

The App provides general wine education, pairing suggestions and travel ideas. It is not medical, health, legal or professional advice. Drink responsibly, never drink and drive, and follow local laws. Winery hours, fees, reservations and access change. Confirm details directly with each winery before you visit.

4. AI features

Some features use artificial intelligence to read labels and wine lists and to generate itineraries, substitutes and pairings. AI output can be incomplete or wrong, including names, vintages, prices, distances and drive times. Check important details yourself. Do not submit content you do not have the right to share, or photos that show other people or personal information. You can report an inappropriate AI response with the Report button shown on each AI result.

5. Premium

Premium is a one-time in-app purchase that unlocks additional features on the store account used to buy it. Payment, refunds and restores are handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store under their terms. Use Restore Purchases to unlock Premium on a new device with the same store account. We may add, change or retire features over time.

6. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the App. This includes trying to reverse-engineer it, access our AI proxy outside the App, overload our services, or use the App to create unlawful, harmful or offensive content.

7. Ownership

The App's content, design, text, images and the Anchored Vines name and logo belong to Anchored Vines Consulting or its licensors. You may use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. Content you create, such as journal entries and photos, stays yours.

8. Third-party services

The App links to or relies on services we do not control, including Google Maps, Google Play, the Apple App Store, Open Food Facts, Anthropic and winery websites. Their terms and policies apply to your use of them.

9. Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not guarantee that the App or its content will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Anchored Vines Consulting is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections where you live still apply.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will change the effective date above and post the new version here. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept it.
